Iomega Wants to be Your iPhone’s SuperHero
January 4th, 2011 by Anna Attkisson, LAPTOP Managing Editor
The new Iomega SuperHero BackUp and Charger is designed to prevent the despair of losing your iPhone’s contacts, photos, and data if your device breaks or gets lost. The device plugs into the wall and comes with an upgradable 4GB SD card for automatically backing up all your info while you charge your smart phone. To work, it does require you to download the free SuperHero iPhone app. The $69.99 SuperHero can also be used for multiple iPhones. Then, if any of those iPhones get lost or stolen, you can restore contacts and photos to a new phone by docking it in the SuperHero and clicking Restore. Iomega has not yet released this device for sale, but it sounds like a super-easy way to protect your data.
