Iomega Announces Affordable Network Storage for the Home
January 5th, 2009 by Dana Wollman
Today, Iomega announced the Home Media Network Hard Drive, a network-attached storage device aimed at consumers who want to back up their content on a single, centralized device.
Moreover, with a home network users can access their content from any device, including Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and digital picture frames.
We like the sleek, gunmetal design, which will fit in well in living rooms. It also comes with access to the EMC MozyHome online backup service; users get 2GB free, and can upload to unlimited back up for $4.95 a month. The service also allows users to schedule automatic backups.
It’s available in 500GB ($159) and 1TB ($229) versions. Look for it in early January.
