The HTC HD2 sold like hotcakes despite being saddled with a lame-duck OS, thanks to HTC’s handiwork. And now there’s an OS to match the cutting edge hardware. The HD7 features a 4.3-inch display and pairs it with Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 7 OS. But you get much more than just fancy live tiles. The HD7 comes with a pre-loaded Netflix app for watching movies and TV on the go, as well as T-Mobile TV (MobiTV rebranded).
The HD7 features a 1-GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB of of memory, and a 5-MP camera with 720p video recording. We especially like the Evo-ish kickstand on the back. This is the first handset for the carrier that sports the new T-Mobile Family Room app, which lets users write a note on a virtual chalkboard and add shared calendar events. You can also share photos using this app.
Stay tuned for hands-on impressions.
