The HD2 and its monstrous 4.3-inch screen have found a home. As you can tell by our review of the unlocked version of HTC’s device, the HD2 is easily the best Windows Mobile phone yet. It has a fast Snapdragon processor, a sleek Sense interface that builds upon the success of TouchFLO, and a big and responsive multitouch screen–a first for Windows Mobile phones. What we couldn’t determine was how good the 3G data performance was stateside; that’s because the model we tested didn’t support the proper bands in the U.S. That will change when the HD2 hits T-Mobile this spring (price not yet determined). Will we be as excited about a Windows Mobile 6.5 device then as we were back in November? Only time will tell.
