HP Vivienne Tam Mini-Note Has Intel Inside
October 23rd, 2008 by K. T. Bradford
It’s real, it’s covered in flowers, and it’s red. The Vivienne Tam HP Mini-Note is coming out in December–but not with a VIA processor. It’s got an Intel Atom, instead. Brad over at Liliputing is surprised given HP’s existing relationship with VIA. But the reigning opinion around here is that VIA’s processor isn’t the best, so it’s less of a shock. Sure, the VIA Nano is meant to be an Atom killer, but, as Joanna pointed out, Atom has been nothing but impressive in netbooks. HP hasn’t yet said if they are dumping VIA for all of their netbooks, but their decision to put it in the flowery one meant for the fashionista set says a lot. Via Liliputing
