Howard Stern in Your Pocket: Sirius XM Coming to iTunes Apps Store
May 28th, 2009 by Jeffrey L. Wilson
Satellite radio has endured some rough waters, but maybe, just maybe, it can find its much sought-after success in the Apple iTunes Apps Store. The first public image of the upcoming Sirius XM app ( a bit blurry, naturally) was pulled from a company PowerPoint presentation. A streaming radio subscription is positioned at $2.99, but the shopping cart icon hints that either a) you can upgrade/renew your subscription or b) there may be an ala carte price structure. Regardless, paying for a steaming music service may be a tough sell with Pandora and Slacker allowing users to partake of tunes for free, but it may be worth it for the talk junkie who needs a daily dose of Stern or Mike and Mike in the Morning.
