In the current world of Android Facebook Notifications, the little F icon appears in your top bar. To see what it says and who it’s from, you drag down the drawer or open the app. With Facebook’s new Android overlay called Home, the social giant has rethought your notification alerts. Now, as soon as you wake your phone, a full list of Notifications appears on top of your new cover feed, including a friend’s photo and the text of the notification.
To effectively use the new Notifications, you’ll need to learn a few gestures.
1. Tap a notification to see the entire message. The full Facebook app will open and the notification will disappear. Tap Home and you’ll be taken back to your cover feed.
2. Swipe a single notification to the side and it will disappear from your list, until you open the full app.
3. Press and hold on a notification to make the entire list turn into a stack beneath your finger.
4. Swipe to the side to dismiss the stack.
