Or pay more and get Macbook Air which is much better engineering-wise. Plus it runs Windows in Fusion just fine. If you expect something super thin and useful for under $1K, think again. MacBook Air at $1,800US is a very fair price.

Something that should be mentioned is that Intels CULV is just a new name for cheaper Core 2 Duo ULV (ultra low voltage chips).

The chip in this machine is actually the slowest one available, a single core 1.2Ghz CPU. I believe the ULV chips go up to dual-core 1.4Ghz, which would probably provide a far better experience when multi-tasking than a ANY single core.

Microsoft said to be a netbook, it cannot have a screen larger that (I think) 10.3 in. And they also limit the proccessor speed and ram. Why? To justify using xp instead of the newer more intensive vista. Correct me if I'm wrong.

When does a netbook stop being a netbook and become a laptop? Is anything smaller than a 15" screen now a netbook?
