Hands-On with the IdeaPad S10’s Instant-On OS
Earlier this week, Lenovo announced that its IdeaPad S10 line of netbooks was getting instant-on capability. We were pretty certain that the instant-on OS, branded as Quick Start, was a version of the popular Splashtop operating system and our suspicions were confirmed when we met with Lenovo on Wednesday. However, when we had a chance to view the operating system in person, we noticed all the familiar Hyperspace apps, but with a very different design theme.
The black background with neon-colored icons really looks high-tech, and is much more attractive than the garrish version of Splashtop we saw on the Voodoo Envy 133 and the plain jane version we saw on ASUS notebooks. Check out the video below to see Lenovo’s attractive and speedy Quick Start instant-on OS in action.
