Hands-On with the HTC Radar: Runs Mango on a 3.8-inch Display

The smaller of the two HTC phones announced today running Mango, the HTC Radar is like the little brother to the Flyer, HTC’s 7-inch Android tablet. The Radar has smooth, rounded edges and a 3.8-inch display. Flip it over and the back is mainly silver, with white plastic on either end.
While small for most phones nowdays, the 3.8-inch screen is a Super LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480. Inside, the Radar has a 1-Ghz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, 512GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. (Sorry, no microSD slot). The back has a 5-megapixel camera with flash. As mentioned, the Radar will run Mango, the next generation of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS.
The HTC Radar will be available in October 2011, starting in Europe and Asia, and will be priced below $199, according to thisismynext.
