Hands-On With the HP Pavillion dv5t

June 10th, 2008 by Meghan J. McDonough, LAPTOP Web Producer/Writer

HP launched a slew of new consumer-end notebooks today, including the 6.4-pound Pavillion dv5t, which we had the pleasure of getting our mitts on before the big announcement. There’s plenty to like here for $1,525: a speedy Centrino 2 processor, 2GB of RAM (expandable to 4GB), a crisp 15.4-inch (1680 x 1050) display, a 250GB shock-protected HDD, Nvidia GeForce 9600M graphics (with 512MB of memory), three USB 2.0 ports, a USB/eSata port, ExpressCard/54, 5-in-1 memory card reader, VGA, HDMI, dual headphones, a mic, and the slick “liquid metal” Imprint 2 design. Best of all? It handles like a dream. Salivating yet? Check out the video below, and our full review.

Man, this is a terrible video review. I don’t think the reviewer has every played a video game before. Next time, figure out what you’re going to say before you start recording.
