LAS VEGAS– During Sony’s press conference today , the company showed off their dual screen Android tablet, the Sony Tablet P. Of course, we went hands-on with this unique tablet as soon as we could. When closed, the tablet resembles a very small ladies’ clutch, though its brushed metal exterior makes it strong enough for a man to slip into a suit coat pocket.
We first laid eyes on this tablet back in August when it changed from the codename S2 to the Tablet P. It weighs just 0.82 pounds and measures 7.1 x 3.1 x 1 inches when closed. Though the black bar in the middle is mildly distracting, the scrolling between the two screens is smooth and we found it easy to type on.
Sony hasn’t announced a release date any more specific than “soon,” but we do know that it’ll be on AT&T when it launches. Don’t miss the video below and the gallery after the jump.
