Hey there - I'm using gOS on an old Sony PCG-540 with 128 Meg ram and the old pIII processor.
I had some challenges getting my wireless card (RTL 8180) running since gOS doesn't come with ndiswrapper out of the box (something I would recommend)

So far it's the best distro I've run on this computer - it runs quick, programs launch quickly, and the browser is really up to date. I think the most impressive thing about this distro is the overall look and feel. From the logo, to the fonts to the themes and even the desktop image. Very Slick! nicest integration of colour, feel , touch etc that I've seen in a distro.

I've tried hundreds (this computer has had 3 distros installed on it in one day...) and gOS rocks.

For David Liu,

Some official support for the Everex Cloudbook would be great, really the big problem is direct rendering, without which the promises made on the box are false. VIA has released drivers, the Sylvania ISO works fine in LiveCD mode, but direct rendering fails to enable after install. Please finish what you started on these umpc's. We who bought so many products with the promise of a "good OS" are still waiting.

gOS is amazing and it's really remind me to Mac. So sad, I lose my gOS's dock after updated.
I love gOS but Ubuntu 8.04 kills gOS. Now it's 2 days and still running, I am downloading gOS 3. It's really slow, BTW I have a corrupt gOS 3 first time it was release (maybe it takes 4 days to completed, so the iso is corrupt).
I hope gOS will be the best distro and I think debian is a good repo (I have Dreamlinux and when I updated, a dock still hold in desktop). I dont have any graphic card to play. gOS and Dreamlinux realization my dream!!!
No dock beautiful as gOS dock!!
