Less is more. That seems to be the theme of the Galaxy S5. Samsung’s new flagship Android phone has plenty of new features, but the company purposely took a more focused approach this time around. As you might expect from a smartphone sequel, the S5 sports a faster CPU (Snapdragon 805), a bigger screen (5.1 inches) and a beefier battery (2,800 mAh), but it also has some surprising innovations. Here’s a quick look at the top five features of the Galaxy S5.
It's nice to know that the Galaxy S5 has a sharper 16-MP camera sensor (up from 13-MP), but we're more impressed with what you can do with it. Thanks to a new real-time HDR mode for photos and video, you can now get the best looking images in difficult lighting conditions -- without having to fire off multiple shots. A separate Shot & More mode allows you to activate other enhancements -- such as Drama Shot, Eraser Mode or Best Face -- after the fact. Plus, the camera focuses in just 0.3 seconds.
