7 Galaxy S4 Features You Can Get On Your iPhone Today

DuoCam (Like Dual Shot)

The Galaxy S4 can record video with both its 13-MP rear-facing and 2-MP front-facing cameras at the same time. This means you can shoot video and take photos in two directions at once. Appvetica’s DuoCam app for iOS also let you use both cameras at the same time, although it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles of Samsung’s feature.

Samsung’s Dual Shot displays the front-facing camera’s perspective in a tiny box on the screen so you can see the exact image both cameras are capturing. You can also move this box around the screen and customize its shape. The iOS DuoCam app, however, operates a little differently. When clicking the button, the shutter snaps and captures whatever it sees out of the rear facing camera. It then snaps a photo of you using the front-facing lens almost instantaneously. The app’s image library offers the option to combine both photos side by side as one image or keep them separate. These images are only stored within the app, however, and won’t appear in your iOS gallery.

Title should read “Samsung creates proprietary apps that are already available.” It has nothing to do with iPhone, really except to say that there are apps that do what Samsung’s apps will do. These apps are already available for Android too.

I do have to point out that you can’t compare effectively turning your G4 into a universal remote via an IR port with cable companies’ apps. Totally different functionality.
