Have tried to get my hands on a cloudbook but that seems to be a tall order. Everex has apparently been dropped from Walmart and the original distributor in Berkeley (Zareason) was duped when it's promised initial shipment of cloudbooks was diverted to Walmart. Zareason dropped the cloudbook as a result. What that means is that folks like myself will end up buying some other umpc because Everex cannot seem to get the machines on a storeshelf for me to play with prior to purchase. If I can't touch it I will not buy it.

If you look around you will see that the person who did the CTO job at OLPC for the XO, that she now has a company that is licensing the POWER SAVING tech, and the SCREEN TECH (aka dual mode screen that you can see in daylight).

This should be the direction of all questions. What company is going to be first to the future with a OLPC XO hybred (to the Cloudbook)... with EEE PC or Cloudbook features (including all the nice things that the OLPC XO has, including the MESH NETWORKING).

> We built in a high quality webcam; they didn’t. We have a [4-in-1] media card reader; they don’t.
To Everex managers: Eee PC does have a card-reader, and non-Surf versions do have a webcam! ;-)
