LifeBook MH380_backangle_leftToday, Fujitsu announced the LifeBook MH380, its second netbook, and, fittingly, it runs on the second-generation of Intel’s Atom processor, dubbed Pine Trail. Like its predecessor, the M2010, it has a snappy red finish (there’s another photo after the jump) and costs $449, a price that then and now, we think could make it less competitive than it should be. The ASUS Eee PC 1005PE-P, for instance, has the same specs but costs only $379. Spec-wise, the MH380 has undergone the same spec bumps as other netbooks that have hit the market since Windows 7 started shipping in October. In addition to an Atom N450 processor, it has 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, an Atheros wireless-N radio, Bluetooth, and Windows 7 Starter. The 10.1-inch display has 1366 x 768 resolution, which is sharper than what 10-inch netbooks used to have. The six-cell battery promises 7.5 hours of battery life. The MH380 will be available next month for $449. Stay tuned for a full review.
