Humor/Novelty

Onion News Network

(Android, iPhone)

Catch up on America’s favorite farcical news network wherever you go. Check out the most popular videos, in addition to editors’ picks for the latest fake headlines. One of our faves: “Modern Family Appears at 9 p.m. Just As Prophesied on ‘TV Guide.’” For those with an affinity for satire and biting humor, this app is a must-have.

Strobe Light

Everyone loves impromptu parties, and you can take them to the next level with Strobe Light, the ultimate dance-off accessory. Choose from seven pulsating light colors, and adjust brightness or strobe speed. Be careful, though: This app is also great at draining your battery.

Talking Tom Cat

(Android, iPhone)

What’s missing from your pet cat? The power of speech, that’s what. Tom is a virtual companion who responds to your pokes and prods on the screen and repeats everything you say with an amusing high-pitched voice. You can even record videos of Tom’s emulating antics and upload them to Facebook or YouTube.

Zombie Survival Guide Scanner

(iPhone)

Prepare yourself for the rise of the undead. Max Brooks’ Survival Guide Scanner can keep you safe by detecting zombies in your midst. Use it to analyze your friends and neighbors, and determine their level of infection, then post images of the zombies on Facebook or Twitter to warn others.

I use NewsRob on Android for RSS feeds. It syncs with Google Reader, so I can manage subscriptions from my computer and the changes go to my phone.

WTF its only three apps? why does it say 81 if its only three?

  5. K. T. Bradford Says:

Look at the bottom of the post, the other app categories are listed there. We thought 81 apps all on one page would be a bit much.
