Prepare to say goodbye to any productivity you ever had during the work day. Fox Mobile has launched a mobile TV application, Bitbop, that is said to be much like Hulu for your BlackBerry, Android or iPhone handset. We were impressed when we first saw BitBop at CTIA, and it’s now available as a beta version. It already has 25 content partners like NBC, The Food Network, CBS, MTV and a whole lot more. While the app is free, it will cost $10 a month in the for access to the catalogue. It’s definitely worth it if you’re always glued to your TV set and aren’t at home all the time or without DVR access.
Bitbop is only available for some BlackBerry handsets in its current beta version, but it is going to be available for Android and the iPhone soon. Perhaps the best part is that you’ll be able to stream content over Wi-Fi or 3G, whereas some similar apps in the past would only work over Wi-Fi due to carrier concerns about network strain. Just imagine how much of your life will pass you by when you’re busy wathing 30 Rock or Glee on your Evo 4G’s massive and vivid screen. Great, isn’t it?
