FileMaker Releases Bento for iPhone and iPod touch

Today, FileMaker unveiled Bento for iPhone and iPod touch, the mobile version of its popular database program. The productivity app includes 25 built-in templates for business use ( such as Time Billing, Products for Sale, Event Planning) and personal use (such as Recipes, Digital Media, Membership Lists), which you can use to keep track of important matters without being tied to a Mac. Bento works with your iPhone or iPod touch’s Contacts, Safari, Phone Dialing, Mail, and Google Maps to help keep data in one central location. Even better, data can be wirelessly synced between your iPhone/iPod touch and your MacBook/MacBook Pro that runs the Bento 2.0v4 desktop software (which was also released today). The ”Collections” feature assists in keeping things in order by enabling you to place photos, for instance, into lists that resembles iTunes’ playlists for neat organization and easy ideniftication.
