Eye-Fi iPhone App in Development
January 5th, 2009 by Dana Wollman
Today, Eye-Fi, the company behind the Editors’ Choice-winning SD card that turns any compatible camera into a wireless one, announced that it’s developing an iPhone app. The app, which will be free, will allow users to wirelessly upload photos taken with their iPhone’s camera to their PC or one of 25 sharing sites. The app is unique in its ability to wirelessly send photos to a computer. When it comes to uploading directly to a sharing site, however, Eye-Fi will have competition from its own partners, such as Google Picasa and Adobe Photoshop.com, which already have their own apps.
