Win a Nook Color, Then Add Android 3.0?
February 1st, 2011 by Anna Attkisson, LAPTOP Managing Editor
If you didn’t want a Nook Color before, the hack to add Android 3.0 Honeycomb to it might just tip the scales. Android Central has a nifty how-to guide, for those who already own the Barnes & Noble eReader. Note, this is not an official update, so you do so at your own risk. Develper Deeper-blue created the download, which can install and run off an SD card. The upgrade should allow users to make full use of the touchscreen and buttons, Wi-Fi connectivity, the accelerometer, and other functions with the new OS. For more details on the OS, check back tomorrow.
For those who don’t already own a Nook Color, you can now enter to win one from us. Simply go to www.laptopmag.com/contests. You can enter any time between now and February 28th at 11:59 a.m.
