Edwards Talks Connectivity, Thompson Forgets He is at a Tech Show
April 3rd, 2008 by Joanna Stern I just stepped out of the Day 3 keynote here at CTIA Wireless. John Edwards and Fred Thompson took center stage to talk about, well, everything but wireless tech. Edwards, who spoke first, did a better job of addressing his crowd here. He discussed how connectivity affects us all. Interesting was his discussion about helping emerging markets through technology and how innovation in the wireless space pioneers global change.
Thompson I don’t think mentioned the wireless industry once in his 15-minute speech. He did talk about the future of the Republican party and his potential return to Hollywood and movie making. That’s all I took away.
The Q+A session also addressed the current campaign. Edwards skirted the question on who he plans to endorse. Both also said they wouldn’t be interested in being vice-presidential running mates. Who said anyone was asking?

Joanna,
I guess when Fred said, “John about covered what needed to be said about wireless…” you must have wanted to hear the same generic outlook that Edwards already gave. OR perhaps, you just wanted to run your mouth about a candidate you don’t have a clue about.
I know this is asking quite a bit from a sniveling brat liberal but, you could actually find out Fred Thompson wrote the book ( 2 volume ) about government waste and within that the inferior communication systems they have. Search Government At The Brink.
Apart from that incredibly research intensive report and observation for our country, Fred Thompson just ran a campaign completely bypassing the mainstream media where over 70% of all the households in America were able to find out the incredible substance he offered but, people incapable of their own governance, apparently like you, didn’t even bother to look at what they could find in their own damn homes.
Pretty damn pathetic Joanna, wouldn’t you say;
“At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child – miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill disciplined, despotic, and useless. Liberalism is the philosophy of sniveling brats.” – P.J. O’Rourke
