I’m 14 and my parents might get me a Dell mini 10v laptop (plum purple or passion pink) for Christmas, I want to know how long the 3- and 6- cell batteries last… on a single charge, I mean. My 5 year old Gateway’s battery lasts 1 hr and 20 mins on a charge, something like that, and I really do not want a computer that doesn’t last at least 5 1/2 hours… Is that possible for a mini 10v from Dell, and what size cell battery would I need? Thanks

obviously it’s a weight/size vs. battery life issue. My Dell Mini 9 gets 4 hours with the 4 cell battery that doesn’t protrude out of the netbook and the overall weight is 2.28 lbs. to me it’s a reasonable compromise. the 10 inchers with a 6 cell usually weigh 3lbs or more with increased bulk. consumers choice

Agreed! I refused to buy a 3 cell and got rid of the S10 that I had ordered without even opening it in order to get a 6-cell 1000h instead. Down with short battery life!
