Dell Offering Windows XP On Home Systems… For A Price
December 5th, 2008 by K. T. Bradford
You can now get some new Dell home PCs with Windows XP on them, but you’ll have to pay $150 for the privilege. The Inspiron 1525 laptop and 530 desktop allow you to configure the system with XP, apparently taking advantage of the downgrade loophole normally reserved for business users. It seems that Dell is still getting some backlash against Vista after all this time. Many consumers are still convinced that the OS is no good and they want a Windows version they’re comfortable with. Source: Alley Insider Hat Tip: Electronista
