Dell Announces 3 Vostro Laptops, New Business-Friendly Features
April 2nd, 2009 by Dana Wollman
In addition to launching three Vostro laptops– the 13.3-inch 1320 (pictured), 15.4-inch 1520, and the 17-inch 1720– Dell announced that these laptops will include more business-friendly features out-of-the-box.
When customers configure their systems with an optional webcam, they’ll also get Dell’s Video Chat software for video conferencing. The idea is that business customers can save money on travel by adding functionality to their notebooks.
Other optional security and durability features include solid-state drives, drive encryption, and fingerprint readers.
The laptops start at $569 (Vostro 1520), $629 (Vostro 1320), and $649 (Vostro 1720). They are available in North America and select South American countries today. European, Middle Eastern, and African markets will follow April 7; Asian markets, in May.
