Control Your TiVo With TiVo For BlackBerry

TiVo and RIM just announced the new TiVo for BlackBerry application. The app lets BlackBerry owners view TV scheduling, program details, and even schedule TiVo recordings from their smart phones.

The user interface looks clean and what you’d expect from a TiVo: You can search for shows by category, director, actor, or keyword and view popular shows or  out daily picks. It also lets you choose which DVR you want to record to and what quality you want the recording to be in, as well as how long you want to keep the recording. TiVo for BlackBerry also provides you with key information like show run time, air date, and more.

TiVo for BlackBerry is available for free from BlackBerry App World today and it will work with TiVo Series2 and Series3 devices. The software will work on any BlackBerry with a minimum of 64MB Flash memory, which mostly means from the older Curve and Pearl series and newer.
