Always remember that while traveling, it’s best to ask trustworthy locals for advice. Lucky for us, Nicole Scott didn’t seem sketchy at all.

A reporter over at Netbook News in Taiwan, Nicole dropped a hugely helpful tip on us, one that’s sure to be a big service  for anyone dropping into Taipei over the next few days to attend Computex.

The Problem:  Securing a data connection for SIM card-based international phones while in Taiwan.

The Solution: Taiwan cell phone service provider MyFone sells SIM cards with 3-day data connections  for just $22- 25. What’s even better, they sell them at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.  So basically, you exit the plane, gather your bags, and buy your way back unto the internet to check out all the tweets you missed during your day-long flight. Sweet!
