The Eee PC family has developed a rabid following due in no small part to its tiny footprint, lightweight build, and wallet-friendly prices. Naturally, ASUS has decided to extended the brand—this time to desktop computing. Similar to the way the Eee PC made traditional notebooks appear downright bulky in comparison, the Asus Eee Box B202 looks to make the desktop mobile with this 2.2-pound, 8.5 x 7.0 x 1.0-inch tower. So how much will this set you back when it lands on these shores sometime this July? Depends on the configuration, really. You can purchase the 1GB RAM/80GB HDD Linux edition for $269, the 1GB RAM/80GB HDD XP edition for $299, or the 2GB RAM/160GB HDD Linux edition also for $299. Of course you’ll still need a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, but if you’re a true tech-head you probably have spares stashed in your basement, hm?
