Nothing like the bottom of my HP laptop can get, certainly. Never hot enough I would find it painful or even particularly uncomfortable even on my lap.</description>

		<description>I use one of those ditigal thermometers that you can get at an auto parts supply or a lot of other places. It has a laser pointer also, so you can tell exactly where you are pointing it, and reads out on an LCD facing you. Very useful for lots of things.</description>
