Coinciding with the recent news of the Cisco Cius availability in March 2011, the company has started running new TV “Together” ad spots designed to get people excited about video conferencing. The ad starts with two young girls video conferencing as they sing John Lennon’s Imagine, and then moves on to other family and business-related video calls. The commercials also show glimpses of the umi technology in action. But it’s the tablet that got us excited. The 7-inch, business-friendly touchscreen slate is expected to be priced at less than $1,000. It will run Android 2.2 using an Intel Atom processor. It should weigh around 1.5 pounds and last for 8 hours on a charge. But it looks like the Cisco Telepresence is the star of the show here, but by March it will face plenty of business competition from everyone from BlackBerry to Apple in the tablet market for business.
