CES Wrap-up: Top 10 Mobile Trends for ’09

The International Consumer Electronics Show seems to get larger and larger with each passing year.  This January was no exception to the rule and once we arrived—no, before we even bought our plane tickets—we were besieged with requests to meet manufacturers and attend product exhibitions for everything from wire-less charging systems to new chipset configurations. In total, our staff spent four non-stop days taking meetings, filming products, speaking with representatives and keeping eyes open and ears peeled for the news, devices, or software that would define the mobile tech industry in 2009.  There was a ton of information to sift through but, in the end, we narrowed the list of innovative announcements down to ten mobile trends, each birthed at CES and each poised to be serious factors in industry news this year.  Here’s what you should know and what you should keep an eye out for.
