Unlike most projectors capable of pumping out 2,000 lumens of brightness, Casio’s new Green Slim line employs the world’s first mercury-free hybrid light source that can generate high-brightness. The company has combined a laser and LED light with a fluorescent element to get between 2,000 and 3,000 lumens. Weighing a mere 5 pounds and measuring a thin 1.7 inches, this portable model will be easy to take with you. Rounding out the features is a wide-angle 2x optical zoom, eight-second cool-down time, 8000:1 contrast ratio, and a light source that lasts nearly 10 times longer than a traditional high-pressure mercury lamp. These models sport USB and HDMI ports, as well as 802.11b/g radios for Wi-Fi connections. Comes with a wireless remote control. Pricing models are yet to be announced.
