Hi

you tested only a few videos.
But which video "codecs" are supported by ION or broadcom with Windows7 video acceleration?

Codecs such as MPEG2, DIVX ##, XVID, H.264LP, H.264MP, H.264HP, ....

Can I play a H.264HP 1080p video flawless on a broadcom or nvidia netbook?
Such a video should need the most raw calculating power on a system without hardware video acceleration and even some older Desktop PCs have trouble with it.

Thanks in advance for an answer.

I don't understand why they are not putting HDMI on these netbooks w/ the Broadcom chip?

The Mini 311 would be ideal with a little longer battery life. Maybe a Pine Trail version will come out soon to help with battery life.

Looks like the Broadcom card was bumping up against the bandwidth limit of the Mini PCI-e lane... it got 48fps on all video tests regardless of resolution...

More evidence (at least in my mind) that ION 2 will *not* be a Mini PCI-e solution.
