The poll has closed, the votes are in, and we can now name the BlackBerry Presenter as the LAPTOP CES 2010 Readers’ Choice Award winner. An accessory that allows you to connect recent model BlackBerry phones to projectors, the BlackBerry Presenter scored 22-percent of the vote in a large field of 42 nominees, including the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid notebook which got 20-percent of the vote and the Samsung S16 camcorder that got 10-percent.
Readers really responded to the 1.2-pound BlackBerry Presenter’s ability to let them make PowerPoint presentations directly from their phones. Now salespeople and business execs alike can simply toss the tiny Presenter into a pocket, go to a business meeting, and then hook into the client’s or partner’s projector over VGA or S-Video.
On Friday, we announced our list of LAPTOP’s 16 Best of CES 2010 Award Winners, each of which was carefully selected by LAPTOP’s editorial staff, based on hands-on experience and testing. The user-selected Reader’s Choice Award winner can now take its place alongside those winners as our community’s favorite product of CES 2010.
