Black NC10 May Be Available in U.S. Soon

December 31st, 2008 by K. T. Bradford

Black Samsung NC10The Samsung NC10 remains one of our favorite netbooks here at LAPTOP.  When it was released in the U.S. last month, it was available in white and blue.  We’re always happy to see a netbook that deviates from the usual black or white (even if the blue isn’t as super exciting as green would be), but some people are traditionalists.  For those of you who wish that the NC10 came in black, the Blue Fairy is on her way.

jez of SammyNetbook found that Amazon.com has the black NC10 available for pre-order.  Technically, it’s listed as out of stock and there’s no date given for availibility.  But if you were holding out, you might as well get on it now.  The NC10 was a bit hard to get this holiday season, so pre-order may be the way to go.

I’m with you, Eddie. I also want to see a forest green one.

Must have black. I’ve been tempted to just get the blue (which is pretty cool) but I have resisted, pining for a black one. Though it will primarily be for personal use, there will be the occasional office use, and the black (wrapped in a cool tailored leather NC10 case from pdair) will look slick in a business environment. I’m hoping it gets here soon – anyone have any experience pre-ordering from amazon or j&r? I heard a rumor that samsung had shipped ‘em to resellers this week, but I have no proof. When I get my hands on one and hug it and pet it and make it my very own I will post the scoop.

Will the black one include the “thumb pressure point” defects in the LCD that seem to be reported by many owners?

I want it to be under € 100,-

    Hi Jersey,

I was thinking to get the black one too. They say it is a finger print magnet. Do they disappear with a simple peace of cloth? In that case, I don’t see what is wrong in getting it black. On the other hand, if you connect an external CD/DVD player, is it able to read from it upon boot up?

I didn’t know who to ask these questions before buying, I hope you don’t mind answering.

    Thanks very much.
