Top 30 Tablet Apps for Kids

Where’s My Perry (Ages 6 to 9)

If your kids like the hit Disney show “Phineas and Ferb,” they’ll love “Where’s My Perry.” The app follows Perry, the platypus that doubles as semi-aquatic sleuth Agent P, as he attempts to get to headquarters for a mission briefing. Kids use water in all its forms to get Agent P to his destination, using ice, steam and liquid, as well as lasers to deflect against the evil villain Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Price: Free (iOS, Android, Kindle Fire HD), $2.00 (Nook HD), $1.50 (Windows 8)

Thanks for posting on these great apps, Molly. I think I will check out a few of these after I get home from my shift at DISH later tonight. There’s another app that our toddler loves that’s great for our whole family. It’s called DISH Anywhere, and we use it to stream live TV or DVR recordings to our phones and tablets. Last week I was doing some errands, when my toddler started getting fussy in the back seat. I pulled her favorite episode of Dora the Explorer up on the DVR and handed her the iPad. She was happily entertained until we got home.
