Best Hand Shadow Arts (Ages 6 to 9)
What is it about turning your hand into a talking animal that’s so fun? “Best Hand Shadow Arts” realizes this playful skill, known as shadowgraphy, and teaches kids how to use their hands to form figures onto a screen using shadows. The app includes 70 shadow art images, which illustrates how exactly to form such figures as a dinosaur, an eagle taking flight and a howling wolf. Plus, your child can save their figures and show them off to all their friends.

Thanks for posting on these great apps, Molly. I think I will check out a few of these after I get home from my shift at DISH later tonight. There’s another app that our toddler loves that’s great for our whole family. It’s called DISH Anywhere, and we use it to stream live TV or DVR recordings to our phones and tablets. Last week I was doing some errands, when my toddler started getting fussy in the back seat. I pulled her favorite episode of Dora the Explorer up on the DVR and handed her the iPad. She was happily entertained until we got home.
