Best Smartphones Under $50
June 8th, 2011 by Brian Oliver Bennett, LAPTOP Senior Writer These days you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get a solid handset. In fact, you can nab a great phone for less than $50, and in some cases even for free by re-upping your service contract.
These aren’t watered-down feature phones, either. We picked devices running full-blown Android, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, and Apple’s iOS, all of which let you install lots of apps for both work and play. This selection of devices from each of the major carriers gives you plenty of options that are long on features and short on price.
