Best Messaging Phone of CTIA Wireless 2008: LG enV2
April 3rd, 2008 by Mark Spoonauer
Smaller is better. The LG enV² (offered by Verizon Wireless) dramatically improves upon the design of the original enV by shrinking in every dimension while offering a larger, 2.4-inch internal display. Even better, avid text- and instant-messaging users still get a full-size QWERTY keyboard.
We really appreciate the enlarged external keys, which makes it much easier to dial. The dual speakers do more than just make your tunes sound nice and loud; the enV² can read your text messages aloud, and it provides plenty of volume for VZ Navigator’s turn-by-turn GPS directions. Add in a 2-MP camera, stereo Bluetooth, and up to 8GB of memory and you have a delightfully pocketable and feature-packed messaging device.

is it a good phone to have?

I think that on top of all the spheel about it being a suckish phone, I think it’s nice. Think about what yoh have right now. Even if you had the best picture-taking phone on the Earth, cell phone pictures aren’t going to turn out good no matter what decice you have. That’s pretty much a fact. So if you want a phone that can take really good, professional photos, then save your money and go and get a digital camera or someting. I like the space in between the keys, too. Plus I think that the original enV will be outdated soon anyways, so why not have something totally different. Also, on the new enV, the back is flat, so there isn’t a big lens cover thing. A good phone, in my opinion.

I am looking for a phone/pda that can sync via cable with Outlook. All I care about is having my contacts and calendar in my phone. Is this a good choice? Any other Verizon phones that don’t cost an arm or a leg and don’t require a data contract?

I really like mine!!!! I tok some pics with it while on vacation this past week and some of the ones I took out side came out better or just the same as they did with my camera. I really like this phone even if I still haven’t figured out how to sync it.
