In September 2012 I purchased a Lenovo G580, In December2013/January 2014, I had trouble with the Log in System refusing to let me Log in, I took it to the company who looks after my computers who told me that they were unable to repair it as the mother board had a fault. I ask them to replace the mother board, but they were not able to do so, as the manufacture were unable to provide replacement mother boards. I am far from impressed.
I know this is an old article, but I feel that anyone still looking at it should know this.
The Lenovo y510p DOES NOT have two Nvidia chips. It has an internal GeForce GT 755M. ONE 755M. You CAN however buy an Ultrabay unit that has another GeForce GT 755M graphics card inside, so you can run them in SLI. The cheapest I have seen the extra card is $200, and that can be a lot of money if you spent a lot on the laptop already. Just a warning to new readers. I have a friend who bought one because of this article, and he was VERY disappointed it did not have the second card. I’m sorry if I offend anyone, but please double-check your facts.
I ordered a Lenovo Ideapad Z710 on on May 19. I have received three notices of delay and I a now told it will ship June 24.
Yet, this laptop is still advertised and pushed via pop-up ads. How is this shoddy ractice tolerated?
Received this computer as a gift for Christmas. Have been using HP my whole life and figured I would give this a try. At first I thought i was just unhappy with the Windows 8 because I didnt understand how to use it. As time passed I realized it wasn’t the windows 8 I hated by this ridiculous laptop. It is extremely slow, watching even the simplest of things off the internet is terrible, the thing is over sensitive, and just terrible for every day things. I use it for work mainly and opening up anything takes longer than it should. Yesterday, I had decided to simply give up with this lenovo product. When I woke up I realized that it had updated itself that night and switched over to Windows 8.1 . In the process it deleted all of my Remote Desktop Connectors that I use for work as well as all my software I installed. Called Lenovo and they said sorry. Had them log onto the thing and they couldnt restore anything. “Go ask Best Buy” and “Microsoft software did it not us” was the answers.
just got the lap top, took very little use before I made contact with your company about the battery / got a replacement and guess what? The replacement battery performs the same way? On a full charge the duration of use is a big big letdown. Had I bought an Inexpensive L/Top I would not expect the battery to last more than an hour and a half, your battery does not either, what a disapointment.
