Google Chromebook’s popularity is on the rise. A recent Gartner study predicted that more than 5 million Chromebooks will sell in 2014. However, Chromebooks lack the necessary power to run high-end games such as Starcraft 2 and Skyrim. That’s because these thin and light machines are intended to be used primarily for Web surfing and apps. But that doesn’t mean Chromebooks don’t have any gaming capabilities. The rise of the Chrome App Store has brought many popular mobile games to the OS. Many of these mix action, platforming and strategy create an enjoyable experience.
Here are our favorite Chromebook Games.
While World of Warcraft attracts most players, Spacetime Studios has created a simpler MMO experience for casual players. The Legends series is a series of free-to-play genre-based MMORPGs that use the same interface to create four experiences. These include anthropomorphic fantasy (Pocket Legends), sci-fi (Star Legends), Horror (Dark Legends) and general fantasy (Arcane Legends). While the games aren't terribly in-depth, the mechanics are easy to learn and the game is fun. Arcane Legends is our favorite, because it has the best mechanics and is the latest version in the series.
