The Acer Aspire Timeline 4820T-5570 is nice for $719.99, but if you want a discrete graphics card then the TG model with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 switchable graphics for $799.99 is a much better deal.

  2. Aylafan Says:

Also, the Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820T does not have a “numeric keypad next to the full-size keyboard”. You need to edit that part.

less than 1000$page and more than 1000$page are same.please check it and verify them.
asus UL30 series or atleast U30JC did not get mentioned, which are seriously the laptops which students would consider getting for themselves.may be it would come in list of laptops less than 1000$.

  4. J.D. Sheppard Says:

The Asus U30Jc-A1 should not even be on this list. Asus has stopped making that computer.
You cannot buy it anywhere in the U.S. NewEgg indicates that it will not be available until February 2011.
    This is a bogus list.

  5. Avram Piltch Says:

While the ASUS U30Jc-A1 is hard to come by at the moment and we are likely to take it off the list soon, many sites are still selling it: http://www.google.com/products?q=Asus+U30Jc-A1&aq=f

My son is looking for a laptop for school that could also play WOW or the new star wars game coming out. Any suggestions?
