5 Best Asus Laptops

We’ve always been fans of Asus, but lately we’ve been particularly impressed with the company’s risky-but-innovative designs. The company has firmly embraced the 2-in-1 laptop category with zingers like the Asus Transformer Book Chi line. And just because a laptop is inexpensive, as with the Asus K200MA, doesn’t mean it has to be boring to look at. We look forward to seeing what else this company throws at us this year.

Sure buy an Asus computer. Shortly after the warranty period something is likely to break and be totally unavailable in North America, special order or not. Then you can buy a used part on Ebay from another country as the only remedy (or throw the computer away. Contact them to complain and never get a call back. What a great company.

  5. Jel Says:

Broke down four times in the first three weeks… terrible computer. Complete waste of money, and could not return the product as it had a 15 day policy.

Hard drive crashed and I lost ALL of my files and pictures…and Asus refused to compensate me in any way.

    Do Not Buy.

  6. destiny Says:

Never buy the asus laptops. Substandard products and parts. Bad service and false warranty promises

  9. russell stewart Says:

I bought this due to the deal of the price. Since then, I have had to turn it in twice under warranty and still it has more problems than a Ford Pinto! This things is absolute junk! I will never buy anything ASUS or ASUS related ever again. I will furthermore persuade everyone I know from buying and anyone I ever run into from buying anything from this more than ridiculous company and their pathetic products! It always has connection issues, volume issues, etc. etc. etc. PILE OF CRAP!!!

  10. Paola Says:

To be honest I have had nothing but problems with my Asus laptop. Its a year old now but still, there are so many problems not just with the software of windows 8…But with the design of the Asus it’s self. Come on, who puts speakers on the bottom of a computer!?

  11. Jack Jennings Says:

I just bought my first and last ASUS computer–Nothing but problems

  12. Victor Says:

I have an Asus U50f that I have had since 2010 or 2011. I use it all the time for gaming and everything and it still works, I have never had a problem with it! The battery on it just failed after 3 years, but I promptly bought another and good as new!

  13. Give a Hoot Says:

Bought the ASUS laptop in March 2014. Worst computer I’ve ever had. Never works right. Mouse pad only works after uninstall- reinstall which takes an hour at least once a month. Cursors bop around and delete my messages – Don’t know if this message will turn into a mess. AWFUL – buying a different kind. Never ASUS

  14. Goldman Says:

l had submitted my laptop for repairs 11 th Sept One month had passed, all calls the service center went unanwsered . Not ONCE is my calls being answered. I’m getting anxious now because the same is happening to my emails to them; NONE of my emails to them got any respond. lt’s as if the service center does not exist.!!!
Am I suppose to wait quietly at home for your non existing call or reply to come? Such service is unacceptable especially when all my college going kids and myself had been firm supporters of Asus laptops for many years .

A check in the internet review tons and tons of complaints heaped on Asus after sales services. I now have no choice but to post here as that all can know . Empor Caveat.
Please reply dont turn your loyal customer into haters..

  15. Don Liles Says:

Just thought I would put this out.
Back in Feb 28, 2014 I bought a Brand new Asus laptop computer from Best Buy Store, well this computer is a piece of crap. It has not worked right for the last 4 months. The screen keeps shutting down while using it. I bought this computer based on the sales associates recommendation and that it was also a touch screen. I have been on the phone with Asus 6 times, 2 times for over and hour reprograming to which made me lose all my saved data with no results and I have shipped it back 4 times to California, no place closer. I even had to pay $50.00 for the first time to ship, there policy which is a rip off. The last time they told me they would replace the computer and they did not only to try and fix it and sent it back again still doing the same thing. After fighting with a supervisor for a half hour on the phone yesterday they still will not replace it saying it has to be a long term problem ( WHAT ) 4 times plus is not a long term problem, come on now. So here I go again to Fed Ex 5 days to get there and who knows how long to get it back again probably still broken. Please do not buy from this company and spread the word. ASUS IS A RIP OFF COMPANY WHO HAS HIDDEN CLAUS IN THERE WARRENTIES AND WILL NOT BACK THERE COMPUTERS UP. ALSO BEST BUY WILL NOT BACK ME UP UNLESS I HAD BOUGHT THERE GEEK SQUAD SERVICE.

  16. Mae Says:

Piece of junk! Fan is overheating; making noises; constantly shutting down shortly after I bought it. CD reader never worked, They don’t even send you a bad battery replacement which constantly overheated. They always ask you to send it back to them which cost you over $200 just to replace a bad battery. Do not buy ASUS products!!!

  17. Joyce Byrd Says:

I received a asua lab top as a gift and it have worked about 2 months out of the year I have had it. To repair cost so much I just brought myself another brand do not waste your money and time with this brand. BBB needs to know of this product.

  18. abhisek Says:

this is the best laptop in world but i want to increase my warranty.plese tell me how

  19. Robert Says:

The Asus Q551L IS garbage, I bought this NEW 2in1 laptop from BestBuy and have had it less than 1 month, it will no longer even power up, after I bought all the new software for windows 8.1 this laptop is garbage. Now I am typing this warning on my 6 year old HP DV6 laptop. Do not buy Asus Taiwan garbage, I spent over $1,000 on this POS, now I have to take it back and lose all of my programs which are limited downloads like Nortons, MS Office, Adobe, who will pay for the limited license now that this garbage won’t start up?

  20. Brian Says:

I have had several Asus products, and only one (transformer prime) had issues. It worked well for about 6 months and then it quit recognizing that it was plugged into the keyboard. It took a couple trips to the service center before it was fixed, but support was very nice and I didn’t even have to pay for shipping . All 3 of the Laptops I’ve bought have been amazing machines. Very responsive, no lag, and never had any issues. I had a K50IJ since it came out in 09 and never had any issues except last year the battery died. But 4 years on a battery is pretty good. BTW I abused the laptop a lot using it for work. For the past 3 years its been in a laptop stand traveling the US for work and often on rugged trails bouncing around. I’ve dropped it several times taking it out of the stand even, still never an issue. I just bought the Q550L and I love it (except windows 8 lol). I have owned A LOT of laptops and desktops, and in my Opinion Asus makes the best computers and I’ve had the best customer service in comparison to other manufactures. EVERY company has a lemon here and there.

  21. toby haire Says:

Asus is the worst decision I ever made. Run from this computer. It’s a flaming hot pile of crap. It makes daily use nothing but a headache. It freezes up and must be rebooted after each entry. When I called for support, crickets. Do not waste your money and save yourself a lot of pain.

  22. asus Says:

i have experience ASUS laptop X452l series, from the first day i started to face problems such as a very slow operation, hanging, internet cable line was discounted for a simple movement of the laptop.
i highly recommend that the company should shut down or take care of their products quality.

  26. John T.Viel Says:

I Bought a Gseries Asus gaming laptop
which was sold at Best Buy,and for a couple of monthsI seemed happy until
one of the control buttons broke and an issue with the disc draw would open
on its own. I sent it back with Geek
squad and was inform that it was unfixable and no replacement was advised but I wonder is this True? JTV

  27. Terry Says:

Alright where to begin? Warning to anyone planning on purchasing a laptop on Asus online store.
This was the worst experience in my life in purchasing a computer and I’ve bought various brands
since the 90’s and I was planning on sticking with Alienware this year but heard positive reviews
on Asus 751 series I decided to get one. I paid extra 45.00 for 2 day delivery, went through close
to a week with their crazy bank verification process before they even shipped it out, I was still billed
and it didn’t even arrive til 3 business days after shipped out. I was bounced all over the place on the
phone to handle these issues. Then finally receiving my product I was told before I even purchased it
that I can get an extended warranty once I receive the product and give them the serial nbr. of the product
and they refused to tell me the prices on the phone until I have received the product. Today I called to get
the extended warranty and they tell me if you bought any products at their online store that you cannot get
an extended warranty, this was their product support, I told them I wish to talk to someone in the
management department as I was straight lied to about getting an extended warranty just to be conned
to purchase the product on their site, they make a case number and tell me I have to talk to their e-store,
the woman their once I explained this once again, which was extremely difficult as I felt with the heavy
accent I was sent to India to talk to someone, she was going to send me back to product support I told her
that they sent me to the e-store, and at that she then admitted that they do not provide extended warranties.
I was then fed up I called the corporate number to which the person I talked to sent me to what he termed
“excalation dept.” Just got a “the person your trying to contact is away” and you get disconnected. I called
again and this time just put in a voicemail box. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve seen in 40yrs.
They should have it in clear bold letters on their webstore we do not provide extended warranties, then it gives
customers the option to go to one of their retailers who do supply extended warranties as I was told after the
fact and lied to just to purchase their product. Now I have to go through the BBB and Consumers affair and
put in a complaint on them. At least at Dell for the Alienware and other products they have the prices along
with time extensions on their website for extended warranty, I never had a problem with them, so safe to say
    I’ll go back.

  30. Michael B Says:

I have been ‘stalking’ ASUS laptops for many months now, waiting for the right components in one of their new models to fit my needs. However, upon reading the comments from existing/former ASUS computer owners, and the (lack of) basic customer service in resolving the issues they had, I am reconsidering my decision to purchase a unit from ASUS. This is unfortunate, since I was impressed by the designs and features their marketing has developed. I was also waiting to purchase their ZenFone2 when it became available in the USA, but may reconsider that decision, also, and at least wait for 3rd party reviews before moving forward.
