September 3rd, 2008 by Joanna Stern
We brought you reports of an Averatec all-in-one last month, but the company is now officially announcing its Nettop Averatec A1. The 18.4-inch all-in-one seems to be pretty stylish from the pictures and will include a keyboard and mouse for 499 euros. We are still confirming the U.S. price and avilablity. According to the company’s press release, the A1 has an 18.4-inch LCD monitor with a 1680 x 945 resolution. On the inside, it packs a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and has a 160GB SATA hard drive. It also has 802.11 b/g wireless, a 1.3 M Webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, a DVD multi-drive and 4 USB 2.0 slots and various audio and video slots. The nettop will run Microsoft XP. The Averatec A1 is expected to ship in early October.
