ASUS Unveils Another Eee PC at CeBIT: 1008HA
March 3rd, 2009 by K. T. Bradford
Ready for a new Eee PC model? We definitely are! Especially one this shiny. ASUS unveiled its newest model, the 1008HA, at CeBIT today. Besides being aesthetically pleasing, the 1008HA is ultra light: 1.1kg and only 1″ thick. ASUS appears to be positioning the 1008HA as a fashionista netbook, describing it as “luxe” and “uber-stylish”, though the pearlescent casing isn’t so runway that it will scare guys off.
Software-wise, the 1008HA will have an app bar called “Eee Docking” with one-click access to Eee software, including Eee Sharing, which will make it easy to sync your netbook with other computers.
Other specs include a 92% keyboard, multitouch-enabled touchpad, and three wireless options built in: wi-fi, Bluetooth, and WiMAX.
Chippy from UMPCPortal has some shots of the 1008HA from CeBIT as well.

This looks like Asus’s take on the hp Mini 1000. Unlike hp, they put a fat HD in it.
