ASUS P320 Hands-On: Sleekest Windows Mobile Phone at CTIA
April 2nd, 2008 by Mark Spoonauer
Right now the Windows XP Eee PC is getting all of the buzz, but we saw a couple of buzzworthy Windows Mobile devices from ASUS at CTIA that should be available within the next couple months. The highlight for us was the P320, which is billed as the smallest and smartest Windows Mobile GPS PDA Phone.
This wee 3.7-ounce device is running Windows Mobile 6 Professional, which means the 2.6-inch display is a touchscreen and you can create and edit Office Mobile files. The best part is the cool customizable UI that makes the Today screen like a series of sticky notes you can use as jumping-off points to check incoming messages, the weather, RSS feeds, and more at a glance.
Other key specs include a 200-MHz TI OMAP processor, 2-MP camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, and a microSD Card slot. It will be available in black and pink and will likely be sold through online retailers such as Mobile Planet. Stay tuned for a full review.
