ASUS Intros Bamboo-Lined U6

Okay, it’s not as radical or eco-friendly as an all-bamboo concept, but ASUS’s bamboo-trimmed U6 notebook, announced today, is more practical, and stylish, to boot. In addition to the lovely bamboo-lined keyboard deck, it has a backlit LED.
Unfortunately, the U6 didn’t make the grade with the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT), thanks to its Intel Core 2 Duo processor. No word yet on official specs or prices, but ASUS tells us you can expect to pay around two thousand dollars. Check out our closeup of the bamboo wrist rest below.
