nini Says:
{{ can i connect to the internet using the dial up? }}

Yes, you can. I've been using dialup on my Asus eee PC 1000HA when home, using public wifi when out. That is with Windows XP. And BTW, I purchased my netbook on eBay for $415...you can go cheaper than that by now. Actually, the total cost came to $314 because of a generous rebate via Microsoft Cashback. But I don't think they give those good deals any more. I'm totally pleased with my mini-system. Good luck to you.

Why doesn't have a higher resolution when they go with a 10" screen. The 8.9" HP netbook even has 1280 x 768

Don't you just hate the all-curvy "Eee" logo? I remain to believe that the original "ASUS" is way better than this.

It appears like Asus has lost its concept of "cost-benefit". The MSI Wind is a lot more cheaper than the 1000H with the same specs and a slot of RAM free and $150 less... There is too the HP mininote which prices goes all over the skyes for a poor 9 inch display and half performance than both msi wind and eee 1000h, since its processor is a via C7 one, that is outperformed by the Celeron 353, includind its graphic card, that is a chrome 9. I'll Sure go for a wind (however i really like Asus brand for its quality and reliability) if the prices of eee don't fall a little. MSI is a good brand, I had a MSI graph card, and it was the better one of its series, beating asus, xfx and all the others... I hope MSI do so on its notes.

Why is the right shift key all the way over there?!? I know this may sound stupid, but that's a deal breaker for me. Back to the HP.

$649?!!? Are they frikkin nuts?!

What they might be counting on here is being the only system of this class available in *retail stores*. I'm sure J&R will get it. Probably DataVision too. Maybe even Best Buy.

The MSI Wind?! So far, that looks like over-the-Net only. Which is a shame!

I'd like to know the type and power of that battery.
