Asus Eee Pad Breaks Cover Before CES, Sleek Android Convertible?
December 28th, 2010 by Mark Spoonauer, LAPTOP Editor in Chief Asus is teasing its tablets again ahead of CES, and this time it looks like the superslim Android-powered Eee Pad is bringing a keyboard along for the ride. As you can see from the above photo leaked to Tech in Style, the device has a USB 3.0 port (for what purpose we don’t know yet), and features a chiclet style keyboard under the display. We’re assuming this is a traditional convertible design but who knows. If you look closely you can also see the stock Android menu and back buttons.
Other leaked images show the Eee Slate EP121, which is about as sexy as Windows tablets get. Check out a couple of shots below.
Another image comes courtesy of Notebook Italia, which looks like a tablet slider. Is it the same design as the Eee Slate EP121 or something else entirely?
We’ll put an end to all of this teasing come Jan. 4 when Asus launches these tablets at its CES press conference. Stay tuned for live coverage.
